October 27, 2010.
Sorry to those who have been checking the blog. We have been having a lot of technical difficulty with our wireless for some time. Everyone should have received an interim report either by e mail or hard copy. The early immersion and grade 8 students will receive the results of their dictee when the homeroom teachers pass them out with their testbooks. I would suspect most will go out tomorrow. Students can make corrections on the weekend to any and all mistakes. Currently students are working on module one in our texts, and we will be having a test within the next few weeks. Late immersion students are working on a written paragraph describing their family while designing a totem to go along with their ideas. They just finished a poster project that should be sent home next week! Thanks!
P.S. Grade 8 students are doing a great job with the Halloween Howl event that takes place tomorrow in the gym. This is a fundraiser for cancer that coincides with the theme of equity that we are currently studying. Students are aware what they need to bring to school tomorrow to help out with the project! All students are welcome to attend. The event costs 1 dollar. Students may wear a costume, but no masks are permitted. There is also a cost od 25 cents for those students who would like to guess how many candies are in a jar.
